Police sting on Douglas Hales detailed in Saskatoon court

The first-degree murder trial of Douglas Hales, the man accused of killing Daleen Bosse, resumed in Saskatoon Thursday. Once again, the focus was placed on a police sting held to get a confession out of him.

The first-degree murder trial of Douglas Hales, the man accusedof killingDaleen Bosse, resumed in Saskatoon Thursday. Once again, the focus was placed on a police sting held to get a confession out of him.

Hales isaccused of killingBossea decade ago.

Court has heard how undercoverpolice used what's called the "Mr. Big" sting, where the target is led to believe he has the confidence of a criminal "boss".

In the Queen's Bench courtroom Thursday, the courtheard how the RCMPconsidered numerous scenarios to get Hales to talk involvingeverything fromtransporting diamonds to Montreal to hanging out in Winnipeg strip clubs.

The trial, before Justice GeraldAllbrightof Saskatoon's Court of Queen's Bench continues.
