Over 30 charges laid in Saskatoon drug bust

Over 30 charges have been laid following an investigation by members of the Saskatoon police and the RCMP.

Police found a variety of drugs and weapons

Two men have been arrested following a drug bust in Saskatoon.

Over 30 charges have been laid following an investigation by members of the Saskatoon police and the RCMP.

At around 3:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team said they sawwhat appeared to be a drug transaction take place inside a vehicle near a business located on Avenue P and 11th Street W.

The two men inside the vehicle were arrested.

Police searched the vehicle and found a variety of drugs and weapons.

Officers then searched a home on Churchill Drive, finding guns and ammunition.

A 43-year-old man is now facing charges including possession of cocaine and GHB, commonly known as a date-rape drug.

The other maninvolved in the incident is facing 29 drug and weapon related charges.

Both men are expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Wednesday.
