Saskatoon police investigating after firefighters find body in burning garage

Saskatoon police are investigating after a body was found at the scene of a garage fire in the Mayfair neighbourhood. Fire crews were called to the1300 block of Avenue G N. just before 2:30 a.m. CST Thursday and founda detached garage fully engulfed in flames.

Saskatoon police are investigating after a body was found at the scene of a garage fire in the Mayfair neighbourhood.

Fire crews were called to the 1300 block of Avenue G N. just before 2:30 a.m. CST Thursday and found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames, according to a Saskatoon Fire Department news release.

While putting out the fire, crews searched the structure and found a body.The scene was turned over to Saskatoon police.

A cause of the fire hasn't been determined.

The fire caused about $60,000 in damages.
