Pleasant Hill residents have voiced concern about the wave of crime in the neighbourhood this year.

Of the nine homicides that have taken place in Saskatoon this year, three took place within a one-week span in Pleasant Hill from late June to early July. Police responded by increasing their patrols in the area.

'It is commonplace'

Shelley Barron lives close to where the injured man was found Sunday.

"There's a huge police presencehere and I'm hoping that because there are so many around and officers leaving in their vehicles that they will be able to find whoever did this," she said.

"It is commonplace and it's become really sad," she said of crime in the area."It's 10:30 a.m. or 1 a.m.on a Sunday and someone has quite possibly lost their life. It's become ridiculous that this is what's going on in this area."
