Ms. Lauryn Hill starts Saskatchewan Jazz Festival on the right note

Ms. Lauryn Hill kicked off the 30th anniversary of the festival at the Bessborough Gardens mainstage on Friday night.

Upcoming headliners include Big Boi, Metric, City and Colour, Downchild Blues Band

While rain caused a small delay, the show went on and the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival in Saskatoon opened with a major star taking the stage.

Ms. Lauryn Hill kicked off the 30th anniversary of the festival at the Bessborough Gardens mainstage on Friday night.

Fans were certainly satisfied to see Hill return to Saskatoon.

CBC Saskatchewan live streamed more than 20 minutes of Hill's performance on Facebook.

Here's a rundown of the other headliners performing at the Bessborough Gardens during the festival:

  • Saturday, June 25: Metric, 9:15 p.m. CST
  • Sunday, June 26: Tedeschi Trucks Band, 9 p.m. CST
  • Monday, June 27: Jesse Cook, 9:15 p.m.CST
  • Thursday, June 30: The Legendary Downchild Blues Band, 9:45 p.m.CST
  • Saturday, July 2: Big Boi, 9:30 p.m.CST
  • Sunday, July 3: City and Colour, 9:30 p.m.CST
