Cyclist killed in Prince Albert, Sask. collision

Police believe the cyclist disobeyed a red light to enter the intersection.

A female cyclist has died in a collision with a vehicle in Prince Albert, Sask. on July 7.

Police were called to the incident on the corner of Central Avenue and 15th Street at about 11:20 p.m. CST.

The 31-year-old victim was transported by Parkland Ambulance Care but died from her injuries after arriving at the Victoria Hospital.

The investigation is still ongoing but police believe the cyclist, who was travelling north, disobeyed a red light to enter the intersection. They saidshe was struck by a car travelling east.
