COVID-19 outbreaks declared at 2 more public schools in Saskatoon

Saskatoon Public Schools has informed parents ofCOVID-19 outbreaks at Holliston and John Lake Schools.

Saskatoon Public Schools has informed parents ofCOVID-19 outbreaks at Holliston and John Lake Schools.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority told the public school division about the declarations on Tuesday.

Classes will continue as scheduled at both schools.

Since classes began this fall, Holliston School has had five cases of COVID-19 and John Lake School has had four.

Since Sept. 1, Saskatoon Public Schools has been notified of 214 cases of COVID-19 at 53 schools in the division.

Between the public and Catholic school divisions,there are 18 schools in Saskatoon that have hadCOVID-19 outbreaksdeclared.

Saskatoon Public Schools says mandatory masking and enhanced cleaning are still in place, and asks that any student or caregiver get vaccinated if they are eligible to do so.
