Cougars, Huskies both representing Saskatchewan at CIS finals

Both the University of Regina Cougars and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies earned spots in the national women's basketball finals after winning their respective games on Friday night.

Saskatchewan will be well represented at the national women's basketball finals in New Brunswick.

Both the University of Regina Cougars and the University of SaskatchewanHuskies earned spots in the championships after winning their respective games on Friday night.

In the first game, the Cougars downed the MacEwan Griffins 65-59.

In the following game, the Huskies beat the University of Alberta Pandas 78-68.

The two teams will now compete in the CIS "Final 8" March 17-20 in Fredericton, New Brunswick for the national championship.

But first, they'll play each other on Saturday night for the Canada West conference title.
