Saskatoon hosts National Aboriginal Curling Championships

The Granite Curling Club in Saskatoon hosted the 2016 National Aboriginal Curling Championships. The women's bracket had five teams while the men's side had 21 teams.

26 teams from Saskatchewan and Manitoba competed in Saskatoon for the 2016 National Aboriginal Curling Championships

Saskatoon's Granite Curling Club hosted more than 20 teams for the2016 National Aboriginal Curling Championships on Sunday.

On the men's side, there were 21 teams competing. There were five women's teams entered.

The top prize for the men was $4,000. The women were competing for a top prize of $2,000.

Including those prizes, a total of $22,300 was up for grabs.

Despite being a national championship only teams from Saskatchewan and Manitoba competed this year.
