Vigil held for Karina Wolfe missing 3 years

About 25 people gatheredat a candlelight vigil for a Saskatoon woman who disappeared three years ago.

Karina Wolfe vanished from the city's west side on the evening of July 2, 2010. Tuesday night people remembered her on the corner of Avenue H and 20th Street where she was last seen.

Her brother, Desmond Wolfe, was there and spoke on behalf of their mother Carol who is deaf.

"She is just hoping that if someone sees, they will know what we are doing, and it will be like an insight that they'll know that we are looking," he said. "She is very important, she needs to come home."

At the time Wolfe went missing, her mother told CBC News her daughter, then 20 years old, had struggled with an addiction to crystal methamphetamine, a highly-addictive street drug.

Police consider Wolfe's disappearance suspicious, but have no leads on the case or into her possible whereabouts.

"What I want is for her to be returned home," said Rachel Tessier, a close friend of Wolfe's who was also at the vigil. "You know so we can have closure at least, one way or the other.

Wolf would be 23 years old today. She is described to be five-foot-seven in height, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes and medium length black hair. She had previously dyed her hair dark pink, red and blonde. She also has a heart tattoo on her left hand and birthmark on her upper lip.
