'Apparently spring has been cancelled': Sask. bands together to lament snow

It's the third day of spring and people aren't letting old man winter forget it. Here's a selection of the best whining and/or moral support social Sask. people are sharing.

On the 3rd day of spring 2016, Saskatchewan woke up to a blanket of snow and ice

"Apparently Spring has been cancelled until further notice! #yqr#nomorespring #winterontheprairies" tweeted Regina's Naked Bean Cafe. (Twitter: @NakedBeanCafe)

It's spring, a time of rebirth.

Or, if you live in Saskatchewan, snow. On the third day of the season, people here woke up to a thick blanket of it, conveniently cloaking a slick layer of cool, hard ice.

Naturally, thesnowfall showed up a few, fatefuldays after many of uscommuters had safely packed away shovels and bootsand removed winter tires in favour of cracked sun roofs.

We knew old man winter would be back. It was all just too good to be true.

Some managed to poke their heads out of the cold stuff to find asilver lining.

Others managed to beat the bewilderment in order to share survival information.

Yet, the vast majority bandedtogether to lament it all.

This is what Regina turned into.
