Snowboarder Mark McMorris begins physiotherapy on broken femur

Champion snowboarder Mark McMorris has begun physiotherapy after suffering a broken femur.

Champion snowboarder Mark McMorris has begun physiotherapy after suffering a broken femur.

He was injured during a competition in Los Angeles in February.

Prior to the bad fall, the22-year-old Olympic bronzemedallistwas having the best season of his career.

McMorris, who is from Saskatchewan, had surgery to insert a metal rod into his femur.

On Friday, he posted a short video about his progress noting he was glad to be in Vancouver and was taking his "first steps."
