Four Saskatchewan cities are about to add one more option to their grocery list.

Save-On-Foods is planning to open four stores in Saskatchewan in 2016.

Darrell Jones, the chain's president, said the first store will be in Regina on Albert Street S. next spring.

"We don't build cookie-cutter stores," Jones said. "We seek input from the local people in the communities and then try to build stores that are right for those communities with local products."

The B.C. based grocery chain hopes to open stores in Saskatoon, Yorkton, and Moose Jaw by fall 2016.

It is also hoping to bring special grocery shopping services online grocery shopping and door step delivery.

"We believe that there's a certain percentage of population that wants to be able to pick up their groceries, some want them online," Jones said. "We want to be able to do that. Deliver to the customers what they want on their terms."

Save-On-Foods hopes to have 40 stores in Saskatchewan and Manitoba within five years.
