Finally! Roughriders to play 1st game in new Mosaic Stadium

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will play the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in their brand-new stadium for their first pre-season game of 2017.

Saturday's game starts at 7 p.m.

Get ready to make some history, Riderville.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will play their first pre-season game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers tonight. It'll also mark the team's inaugural contestatthe new Mosaic Stadium.

The $278-million, state-of-the-art facility replaces the decades-old stadium that stands justto the east.

The game starts at 7 p.m. CST. According to anonline ticket map of the stadium, a few dozen seats werestill available as of Friday night.

Fans are encouraged to take the bus to Saturday pre-season game (CBC.)

How to get there

The city says buses to the stadium will begin running at 4:45 p.m. Rider transit will be available an hour after the game is over.

  • Northgate Mall
  • Victoria Square Mall
  • Southland Mall
  • Saskatchewan Drive at Hamilton Street (beside the Delta)
  • Victoria Avenue at Scarth Street (westbound)

Saturday's pre-season game will be the third and final test event at the new stadium before the grand opening and the launch of regular season home games on July 1.
