Rescued Saskatchewan parrot Pebble is the talk of the internet

A parrot named Pebble, currently being cared for at a rescue centre, has become the talk of the internet.

A bird named Pebble, currently being cared for at a rescue centre in Rosthern, Sask., has become the talk of the internet.

Pebble, a cockatoo, is one of several parrots being cared for at the centre run by Treena Cheveldayoff.

Videos of the birds have been posted to YouTube and have gathered a considerable following.

"Parrots ... need constant stimulation," Cheveldayoff said. "They are flock creatures and they need that flock."

She said Pebble has been through several homes as a pet.

Cheveldayoff has taken in 70 parrots over the years.
