The University of Regina Rams are in an unfamiliar position against a familiar opponent this afternoon.

The Rams (0-3) are currently the only winless team in the competitive Canada West conference. Regina hasn't started a season 0-3 since 2011.

They'll need to pull off an incredible upset to get their first win of the season on Saturday as they host Canada's No. 1 team, the University of Calgary Dinos.

The Dinos are coming off an astonishing 80-18 win over Alberta last week.

Calgary will be heavily favoured going into the game, but the Rams know this well. The two schools have played each other in the playoffs five of the past seven seasons.

The two teams played an exhibition game against each other in August. Calgary won that contest 25-9.

Regina hasn't beat the Dinos since a 12-9 win in October 2012.

While times are tough, there is some hope for the struggling Rams. After starting the 2014 regular season 1-5, the Rams won back-to-back games and clinched a playoff spot. They ended up losing to Calgary 56-0 in that playoff game.

Notable scratches from the game are running backsMercer Timmisfrom the Dinos and Atlee Simon from the Rams.

Timmis has been nearly unstoppable for the Dinos, leading the conference with 526 yards and averaging 175 yards per game. The Rams'Simon is also enjoying a breakout season. The second-year back out of Regina's Thom Collegiate is second behind Timmis with 428 rushing yards.

Kickoff is at 4 p.m. CST at Mosiac Stadium.

The Rams are also asking fans to wear white to the game.
