Regina business raised $1100 for La Loche families through yoga

A Regina yoga studio is donating all proceeds from classes Sunday evening to families that were affected by the tragedy in La Loche.

Bodhi Tree Yoga raised more than $1100 for La Loche families from yoga classes last night.

Bodhi Tree Yoga was able toraise more than$1100for La Loche families.

The studio offered three classes last nightand as payment, asked the students to make a donation to help affected families.

"Yoga might not be able to stop tragedies like these from happening, but we can at least dedicate our practice to the people suffering as a result of them,"BodhiTree Yoga wrote on itswebsite.

Some injured in the shootings were airlifted to Saskatoon and are receiving treatment at the Royal University Hospital.

Families are staying in Saskatoon while their loved ones are cared for, and many of them have additional expenses.

Bodhi Tree said it will givethe money to those families,to support theirneeds while they are away from their homes.

The yoga studio will alsobe accepting donations for the remainder of the week.
