The clinic posted on Facebook confirming that RCMP brought them a cat. They said it had been drenched in alcohol and lit on fire.

On Sunday, RCMP said they were investigating one man in the incident.

Festival spokeswoman Kim Blevins said that individual was kicked out of the festival.

"We're extremely disappointed that one of our fans would stoop so low," Blevins said. "I think it was someone that made an incredibly bad decision. We don't condone any sort of violence against people or animals."

According to the vet clinic's Facebook page, the female kitten is doing well.

The original prognosis is excellent, and they've named her Jamboree.
