Identity fraud alleged in new charges

Police in Regina have laid additional charges against two men who are alleged to have been engaged in identity fraud.

James Donald Provost and Brad Waselenchuk are now charged with 16 new offences, according to a statement from Regina police, issued Monday.

Those two, along with a third man, are suspected of identity fraud and fraud over $5,000.

Waselenchuk is also charged with break and enter.

The charges stem from incidents that took place in December, where mail was stolen and used to create fake ID cards, credit cards and other documents.

Police have been investigating cases of alleged identity fraud for a considerable amount of time.
