Game 6 between Regina Pats and Red Deer Rebels sold out

Nearly 6,500 hockey fans have already scooped up every available ticket to the next Regina Pats game.

Nearly 6,500 hockey fans have scooped up every available ticket to the next Regina Pats game.

On Saturday afternoon, the hockey club announced that Game 5 of their second-round playoff series against Red Deer had sold out.

The Brandt Centre holds 6,484 people for Pats' games.

This is Regina's fourth sellout of the season amd attendance has been especially strong during the playoffs with an average of 6,163 fans per game. The Pats averaged around 4,500 fans during the regular season.

Sunday's game is a do-or-die match for Regina. After losing to Red Deer 5 - 1 on Friday, the Pats need to win Game 6 to force a series deciding game seven, which would be played in Red Deer.

Game 6 faces off at 4 p.m. CST.

The winner of the Regina-Red Deer series will play Brandon in the Eastern Conference championship series.
