Cover the plants! Frost warnings for southwest Saskatchewan

People in southwest Saskatchewan may want to take precautions as a frost warning has been issued for Thursday night into Friday morning.

People in southwest Saskatchewan may want to take precautions as a frost warning has been issued for Thursday night into Friday morning.

"Clear skies, calm winds, and dry air will create conditions favourable for overnight lows to drop below freezing in parts of southwest Saskatchewan," Environment Canada said.

People were being advised to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Here are the areas covered:

  • Leader - Gull Lake.
  • Swift Current - Herbert - Cabri - Kyle - Lucky Lake.
  • Shaunavon - Maple Creek - Val Marie - Cypress Hills.
  • Assiniboia - Gravelbourg - Coronach.
