Chili for Children program feeds more than 800 Regina kids

Kids in Regina continue to benefit from a program that offers a hot and healthy lunch.

Eating a hot and healthy lunch is something many people take for granted.

In Regina, the Chili for Children program continues to fill the void for kids who otherwise wouldn't get a good lunch.

Some childreneating their lunch at Regina schools got a bit of a surprise along with some chili today.

Education Minister Don Morgan was there helping serve up some meals.

The program helps feed school children three times per week.

The program currently services up to 850 children. However, organizers say there are still more schools that need a lunch program like Chili for Children.
