Brian Bain

BrianBain, 30,is the founder and president of Ecobain Gardens, a vertical hydroponic urban farm in Saskatoon.

Brian's ambition is to bridge the gap between us and the food we eat.

Our province imports over 80 per centof the produce we consume, and Brian knew there was a better way to have our food system be more efficient and eco-friendly, without sacrificing nutrition and flavour.

With the newly expanded farm Ecobainwill supply living herbs and micro greens to grocers and restaurants in western Canada.

The team at Ecobain Gardens have goals that reach much higher in the next few years to come. They look to open twonew facilities, as well as lead research for farming sustainability, LED lighting, protein based products, northern food security projects, and youth education.

Ecobain Gardens employs 10 local young staff and are growing steadily. His expertise is regarded within Canada, and his vision is appreciated world wide.
