A view of natural prairie, thanks to a new Bison-cam, is getting more people interested in Saskatchewan's Grasslands National Park.

The park, in the southwest corner of the province, has installed three video cameras and with an online partner, explore.org is encouraging people to have a peek.

Sometimes it's a live view while other times, it's video from a recent highlight reel.

"You can view anything from the bison coming in to the watering hole to a prairie dog town," park spokeswoman Lisa Leuty said.

There have also been visits by burrowing owls, pronghorn antelope, coyotes and badgers, she said.

The park is considering adding another camera to show an area where bison spend the winters and birth calves, Leuty added.
