2nd-degree murder charge laid in Regina home invasion death

Regina police have laid a murder charge against a 25-year-old man who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Regina police have laid a second-degree murder charge against a 25-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Christopher SeanPascal, whose warrant was for breaching a long-term supervision order,will appear in court Friday morning.

He is charged in the death of 46-year-old Rodney James Nippi.

Earlier in the week, police were called to a home on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue.

The coroner, Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units investigated the homicide. (CBC)

Nippi was assaulted in his home with a weapon during a home invasion on May 14.

When police arrived, they found Nippi unresponsive.

He later died from his injuries.
