3 stolen vehicles found together in Queens County

The RCMP say they found three stolen vehicles in Mount Herbert, P.E.I., overnight and are looking for another stolen car that went missing early this morning.

Police also looking for stolen Honda Civic that went missing from Ten Mile House

The RCMP say they foundthree stolen vehiclesin Mount Herbert, P.E.I., overnight and are looking for another stolen car that went missing early this morning.

Queens County RCMP said they responded to a complaint abutthree suspicious people walking down the road in Mount Herbert at about 4 a.m.

When an officer arrived, the people were gone but three vehicles were found on a piece of vacant property. When the registered owners were contacted, police learned thethree vehicleshad been stolen from three different locations: Charlottetown, Vernon Bridge and Ten Mile House.

The RCMP is also asking the public for help to locate amissing car:a brown 2002Honda Civic with P.E.I. plate514KP. It was reported as stolen at4:15a.m. from Ten Mile House.

RCMP say they used police dog services during the night, and the forensic identification unit will be working on the investigation Friday.

Anyone with information about who the three people walking in the Mount Herbert might be are asked to callQueens District RCMP at (902)368-9300.

Anyone with information about the stolen Honda can call the same number, or Crime Stoppers at1-800-222-8477.

Corrections

  • A previous version of this story said police were looking for information about three people walking around Mount Stewart, as per the information police originally released. Police later amended the information to say the people were in Mount Herbert.
