A large group of protesters held an anti-Stephen Harper rally Friday afternoon at Province house in Charlottetown.

About 70 protesters heldanti-Stephen Harper signsthat listed the top ten reasons why they believe people should not vote for Harpersuch as cuts to social programs, contempt of parliament, and having a record deficit.

Invitations to join the Grafton Streetrally spread on Facebook on Wednesday, when the news hit that Stephen Harper would be taking his election campaign to P.E.I on Friday.

Mathiew Arsenault, who organized the rally, said he's just a concerned citizen who wants to inform people about what he calls a dysfunctional Conservative government.

"Let's take a stand at least show our disapproval and hopefully something will change. So I think a lot of people are reacting, saying, I'm tired of just sitting around, let's react and do something," said Arsenault.

Harper was expected to attend a campaign rally at the North Shore Community Centre in West Covehead at 5 p.m. Friday.
