Prince Edward wraps up Canadian visit in Charlottetown

Prince Edward, the youngest of the Queen's children, wrapped up his two-day visit to the province that bears his name by handing out medals to soldiers for their service in Afghanistan on Sunday.

The prince, who is the honorary colonel-in-chief of the Prince Edward Island Regiment, finished his Canadian visit in Charlottetown withan awardceremony.

Cpl. Calvin Arsenault, Cpl. Roy Good , Cpl. Jerry Landry, Cpl. Anthony MacLean and Cpl. Benjamin Miller received their service medals after the Prince was presented with his colonel-in-chief pennant.

Edward, who has been in Canada for almost a week, spent time in Ottawa and Montreal.

On Saturday, he met with Canadian soldiers and received an honorary degreefrom the University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown.

The princeis in Canada without his wife, Sophie, who is expecting their second child in December. The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Lady Louise Windsor.
