P.E.I. storm: snow day for some, shovelling for others

P.E.I. was hit with snow, strong winds and limited visibility in the morning forcing many people to stay home from school and work for a snow day.

P.E.I. was hit with snow, strong winds and limited visibility in the morning forcing many people to stay home from school and work for a snow day.

Many Islanders tweeted photos of themselves staying warm indoors.

Those with dogs or livestockto take care of didn't have the same luxury.

The weather warnings lifted in many parts of the province letting people take advantage of the fresh snow.

Of course, not everyone got the day off including us here at CBC.

And volunteers with the Salvation Army.
