1 dead after pickup, transport truck crash in Prince County

One man is dead after a transport truck and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Route 131 and Route 12 in Grand River, P.E.I.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Ken Spenceley said RCMP were notified of the crash at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's name and age have not been released.

The driver of the transport truck was taken to Prince County Hospital as a precaution.

Traffic reconstructionists are on the scene.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.
