Brown asked Health Minister Rob Henderson if he had inspection reports for the facilities in his office right now, and Henderson said yes.

"Why aren't they online now?" Brown shot back.

"What is holding up the inspection reports from going online?"

In 2014 then health minister Doug Currie said the long-term care facility inspections would be published for anyone to read.

Brown wanted to know why that hasn't happened yet.

'Within the next year'

Henderson acknowledges the operators have had a few years notice, but said the government is still preparing the community care facilities for the more open and transparent way of operating.

"I think it's just a matter of making sure that we're preparing everybody, so when we make an announcement that everybody's prepared, it's not a shock to the community care facilities out there," he said.

"I'm hopeful we will be doing that within the next year."

Henderson said the main focus right now is to come up with a new funding agreement with the facilities.

Brown was dumped fromcabinet three weeks ago with MLA Sonny Gallant replacing him asminister of workforce and advanced learning. Brown said there a number of long term care facilities in his Charlottetown - Victoris Park district.
