Man declared dead after injury on fishing vessel off North Lake, P.E.I.

A man is dead following an incident on a fishing vessel that sails out of North Lake in northeastern Prince Edward Island.

RCMP received call about incident aboard a boat early Wednesday morning

A man is dead following an incident on a fishing vessel based inNorth Lake in northeastern Prince Edward Island.

According to an RCMP spokesperson, police were notified early Wednesday morning that someone had beeninjuredon a boat.

Once the vessel reached shore, the man was declared deceased.

RCMP are working with the coroner's office and the occupational health and safety division of the Workers Compensation Board as part of the investigation.
