Dean Brody, Emerson Drive added to Cavendish Beach Music Festival lineup

Dean Brody, Emerson Drive, The Road Hammers, Tebey and Blackjack Billy are some of the acts who will join the headliners on the Cavendish Beach Music Festival's main stage this summer.

Dean Brody, Emerson Drive, The Road Hammers, Tebey and Blackjack Billy are some of the acts whowill join the headliners on theCavendish Beach Music Festival's main stage this summer.

Country music superstarsBlake Shelton, Kenny Chesney,The Band PerryandOld Dominion were announced in the fall.

July 8

Cold Creek County, The Road Hammers, The Washboard Union and Blackjack Billy will lead up to a headline performance byThe Band Perry on July 8.

Cold Creek County formed in 2013 and released their debut album, Till the Wheels Come Off, in October.

The Road Hammers have been together for more than a decade andwere nominated last year for the Canadian Country Music Association's Group of the Year. Their 2014 album Wheels celebrates trucking, four-wheeling, dirt biking you get it.

Vancouver-based The Washboard Union blends country and bluegrass and bills themselves as "a band that you simply have to see live to appreciate." Their EP In My Bones is a year old

On their website, country rockers Blackjack Billy said they've been called the "Rolling Stones of country music." They gained exposure with their 2013 hit The Booze Cruise.

July 9

Petric, Tebey, Emerson Drive andJoJo Mason will whipup the crowds for five-time CMA Male Vocalist of the YearBlake Shelton on July 9.

Young Manitoba brothers Jason and Tom Petric formed the country/rock/pop duo Petric just over a year ago and introduced their first single Here Goes Everything last May. Their appearance at CBMF already has some fans talking.

Nashville-based 29-year-oldTebeyis a singer/songwriter whose songs havebeen recorded by One Direction and FLORIDA, as well as Emerson Drive and Doc Walker. He also playedCBMFin 2014, where he filmed a music video called Now I Do.

Emerson Drive calls themselves "a staple in the country music community." They have been making music for more than a decade and have won manyCCMAawards and garnered many nominations for Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards in the U.S.

JoJoMason is not just a relative newcomer to country music: the 25-year-old from Saskatchewan was discovered by a producer at a Christmas party in 2013 before he even sang a note. His bigger-than-life personality and groovy vocals areshowcased on his chart-making debut single It's All Good.

July 10

On July 10, Jason Benoit, Bobby Wills, Dean Brody and Old Dominion will take the stage before country hitmaker Kenny Chesney.

Jason Benoit from Stephenville, Nfld., is another country greenhorn who began his musical career in 2013, but is already the proud owner of the inaugural CCMA Discovery Atlantic Award.

Bobby Wills sings rock-inspired country and was awarded the CCMA Rising Star of 2013.

Brodyis nominated for two Juno awards those are the Canadian Grammiesfor Fan Choice and Country Album of the Year for his just-released album Gypsy Road. He will also perform at the Juno awards show on April 3 . He's already owner to a mantle full of Juno and Canadian Country Music Awards.

The festival has two other stages. Lineups for the Gahan House Stage and the Cavendish Farms Kitchen Stage have yet to be announced.

CBMF is Atlantic Canada's largest outdoor music event.
