A 26-year-old Kings County man has been charged with arson after RCMP and firefighters responded to a burning structure fire on Route 16.

RCMP said they received a 911 call just before 3 a.m. Sunday.

Police and the Souris Fire Department responded and discovered the burning structure to be a camping trailer. A man from the Chepstow area was arrested at the scene and charged with arson.

The man has been released on conditions and will appear in Georgetown court Sept. 12.

RCMP continue to investigate the incident and two other suspicious fires in the same area that occurred in recent weeks.
