Charlottetown flash mob rallies to raise mental health awareness

A flash mob to raise awareness about World Mental Health Day took place in Charlottetown Friday.

A flash mobbroke outin Charlottetown Fridayin hopes ofraisingawareness about World Mental Health Day.

Clubhouse Programclients from Fitzroy Centre in Charlottetown and Summerside's Notre Dame Place joined to performthe flash mob to create national awareness of mental illness.

The group, which danced outside the Confederation Centre,encouraged people to talk about their own issues dealing with mental illness.

Other Clubhouse organizationsacross the country took part in events,including Hope Central in Alberton.

Clubhouses provide adults and youth dealing with mental issues support in their recovery.
