Pretty hard not to get a swollen head. Sometimes I have trouble getting through the door, Robert Campbell told CBC News.

Its very exciting and Im very proud of the kids.

Robert and Cheryl Campbells three children spend a lot of time at Brookvale ski park, training in cross country skiing and shooting, the two activities that make up the sport of biathlon.

The Campbell family loves competition, says Caitlin Campbell. (CBC)

Daughters Callie, 15, and Caitlin, 18, will compete for P.E.I. at the Canada Games in Prince George, British Columbia next month. Twenty-year-old Carsen was also invited to compete in Prince George, but instead is going to Belarus for the World Junior Championship as Canadas number one biathlete.

Carsens sisters said the familys success is about determination.

We like to get good at things, said Callie.

And we're all really competitive, added Caitlin. We love competition.

Robert Campbell believes there may be something genetic in families that prompts people to train hard. He could have a point. P.E.I.'s biathlon team is made up of three sets of siblings, but the only parents who will be cheering on their children at both the Canada games and the Worlds will be the Campbells.
