Ottawa police are investigating a suspicious death in the 800-block of Dynes Road.

The Ottawa police major crimes unit is investigating a suspicious death that occurred late Thursday afternoon on Dynes Road.

Ottawa police officers from the major crimes unitare investigating a suspicious death near a Dynes Road strip mall.

Police received an emergency call at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday from 886 Dynes Rd., near Prince of Wales Drive. Staff Sgt. Bruce Pirttold CBC News thatmajor crimes investigators are working on the file.

There were no updates from police early Friday morning.

Neighbour Pamela Yates lives across the street from the parking lot where police foundthe injured person.

At the scene Thursday, she said she saw police arrive, cordon off the areaand begin interviewing people at the nearby Asian Garden and Hog's Back restaurants.

Yates said police eventually emerged from the restaurants with three young men. Police escorted the men into a squad car and drove away.The men were not wearing handcuffs.

Reached by phone Thursday, staff at the two restaurantssaid they were busy talking to police.

The police investigation spread from the parking lot toa nearby highrise apartment building at 900 Dynes Rd.

Crystal Grierson lives in the building. "It makes me feel scared, and scared for your safety and your life," she told CBC News.
