Official Senators jersey for NHL centennial unveiled

The jerseys were specially designed for the NHL's 100th year, and will be worn on December 16, 2017 in Ottawa, when the Senators face-off against the Canadiens.

The Ottawa Senators have released photos of the official jersey they will be wearing for the 2017 Scotiabank NHL 100 Classic next month.

The jerseys were specially designed for theNHL's100thyear, and will be worn onDec. 16 in Ottawa, when the Senatorsface-off against the Canadiens. The long-awaited game marks 100 years since the firstNHL meeting between the two teams.

The Senators limited edition jersey has a few noticeable differences including a large white 'O'where the familiar Senators emblem usually appears.

To symbolicallypay homageto the NHL's centennial year,silver twill is used on the league's official crest. In between the black and red stripes is a silver band, that's embossed with each year the Senators won the Stanley Cup.

The game will be played at TD Place, outdoors, on ice provided by the league.
