Red dresses placed on the Hill to remember missing, murdered women

People gathered on Parliament Hill today in a solemn ceremony to remember missing,murdered and abusedaboriginal women and children.

In a symbolic movement that's crossing the country, supporterslaiddozens of red dresses on the steps leading to the Peace Tower in a show of solidarity with the fight for justice for the victims.

"No more are we going to turn our backs," said Claudette Commanda,a Kitigan Zibi band councillor and teacher at the University of Ottawa. "No more are we going to be silent about the violence."
