It's hot, hot, hot for Canada Day, with a chance of showers around fireworks time

It won't be quite as hot as last year, but if you're taking in the festivities you'll want to slather on that sunscreen and stay well hydrated.

Rain could arrive by the time the fireworks go off tonight, but there's only a 40 per cent chance

It won't be as hot as last year, but if you're taking in the Canada Day festivitiesyou'll still want to slap on the sunscreen and stay well hydrated.

Environment Canada is forecasting a mainly sunny holiday Monday, with a high of 29 C and the humidity making it feel more like the low-to-mid-30s.

The UV index should hit 9, meaningvery high, so you may want to drape yourself in a giant flag to protect yourself from the sun's unpatriotic rays.

Clouds will roll in this evening, and there's a decent chance we'll see showers right around the time the fireworks are set to go off.The overnight low is 17 C.

Back-to-work Tuesday is also looking to be sunny, with the forecasted high currently sitting at 27C.
