Man charged in connection to fatal stabbing near ByWard Market

A man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the fatal stabbing near the ByWard Market this weekend.

A man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection tothe fatal stabbing near the ByWard Market this weekend.

Damien Dubien, 33, was arrested Tuesday night and appeared in court viavideo Wednesday.

Dubien has been ordered not to communicate with more than two dozen witnesses to the stabbing that took place on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Heappeared wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and with his wrists handcuffed, and saidlittle except for his name and agreeing to the court order.

The victim, 45-year-old Adrian Johnson, was found on King Edward Avenue suffering from stab wounds around 5 a.m. on Nov. 18. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
