All-puppet band Feltworth comes to town for Juno weekend

There's no Juno category for Best Musical Performance By a Puppet but if there were, Feltworth would likely have it locked down.

The fab four fab standing for "fabric," in this case is playing Friday night at Le Shoppe inGatineauas part of the Juno-relatedPlaylistLive: Canada 150concert.

But don't expect children's songs. As Feltworth told Jessa RuncmanonCBC'sOttawa Morning, they'veleft performing for the preschool set far, far behind.

"I think we were sort of doing a disservice, really, coming out there and being contemptuous of playing in front of a bunch of brats," said Dezi Feltworth, a fluffy pink rabbit and the band's main songwriter.

"[Keyboard player Maurice Katzenburd] was also quite displeased that we weren't allowed to have any alcohol in the rider,"added drummer monkey Cozy Balboa.

"I think that was the final thing that pushed him over the edge."

There's no doubt their sound these days definitelyleans more towardthe indie rock spectrum.

"We want to make rock music. We want to make the music that we know and love," said Feltworth.

"I don't think that we should have to play It's Not Easy Being Greenor The Rainbow Connection both of which I love."
