Driver dies in tractor-trailer crash on Highway 401

One person died in a Wednesday morning collision between two tractor-trailers on the westbound lanes of Highway 401 east of Belleville, Ont.

One of the tractor-trailers caught fire in the crash, which happenedbetween Deseronto Road and Highway 49.

Thedriver of the heavy truckthat caught firedied at the scene,OntarioProvincial Police confirmed.

Collision investigators were analyzing the scene, OPP said.

Highway 401 westbound was closed but has since reopened.
