Lansdowne Park is going to be a bit more crowded than normal on Saturday, June 24,asOttawa's electronic music festival has announced they'll berelocating there the same day the Ottawa Fury will be playing a home game.

The Escapade Music Festival was scheduled to take place at the Rideau Carleton Raceway on June 24 and 25.

But in a post on the festival's Facebookpage just 18 days before the event, the organizers saidthere were issues with the raceway after Hard Rock International agreed to partner with the raceway, and that they needed to find a new venue.

"It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing a change of venue for the upcoming festival," they wrote.

"While we apologize for the adjustment of a major festival element, we are ultimately excited about the new location, the Lansdowne Park, as it will provide a better experience to our festival goers and is one of the most sought out venues in the city."

Organizers saytickets already purchased will be honoured at the new venue.

The festival begins June 24 at noon and finishes June 25 at 11 p.m. Itwill take place both inside venues at the park and on the lawn.

But as it happens,Ottawa Fury FC will also be playing a home game on June 24 at TD Place at 2 p.m.

A spokesperson for the city confirmed OC Transpo will be running buses to and from Lansdowne during the festivaland that fares will be free for ticket holders.
