1 dead, 1 seriously injured in Greely collision

One person is dead after a collision near Greely, Ont.,Friday night, Ottawa police said.

The two car-collision happened just after 6 p.m.at 8th Line Roadand Parkway Road.

Firefighters extricated aman and a womanfrom a vehicle.

They weretaken to hospital in critical condition, paramedicssaid. One was later pronounced dead in hospital.

The man and woman were travelling in the same vehicle, according to paramedics.

Paramedics said one man from the other vehicle was also taken to hospital in stable condition.

The road was closed for several hours, but has sincereopened.
