An increasing number of nurses and nursing students are leaving the profession due to poor pay, a lack of support, violence at work, and a lack of control over their hours, according to nursing unions in Ontario.

Universities in Ottawa won't mandate masks, which some other universities have done in the province, choosing instead to strongly recommend their use indoorsand urging students and staff to follow the guidelines from Ottawa Public Health.
