3 Toronto men charged in Ottawa homicide

Three Toronto-area men are accused in the slaying of 19-year-old Michael Swan at a home in Ottawa's west end early Monday morning.

Three Toronto-area men are accused in the slaying of a 19-year-old man at a home in Ottawa's west end early Monday morning.

Jointly charged with first-degree murder are Kristopher Allan McLellan, 20; Dylon Tyrone Barnett, 19; and Kyle Mullen, 19.

The victim was 19-year-old Michael Swan who died of gunshot wounds, Ottawa police confirmed Tuesday.

The death is Ottawa's third homicide of the year.

Police allege thethree men entered the home of the victim at 4139 Moodie Dr., near Brophy Drive, around 1 a.m. Monday and fatally shot Swan several times in the chest and stomach.

Police said the accused were arrestednear Ganonoque, Ont., more than 100 kilometres southwest of Ottawa.

Neighbours reported that Swan had lived in the home with two roommates for several months.
