Nova Scotia Power's second wind-powered generator will be up and running this week in Cape Breton. Work crews are now erecting the structure in Grand Etang, near Cheticamp.

Nova Scotia Power's second wind-powered generator will be up and running this week in Cape Breton. Work crews are now erecting the structure in Grand Etang, near Cheticamp.

Construction will be complete by Friday, says NS Power spokesperson Michelle Peverill. The turbine is similar to the one recently built at the other end of the province, in Little Brook, Digby County.

Peverill says the structure should be operating and delivering wind power within two to three weeks.
