Schools closed in parts of Halifax, Annpolis Valley

Some Nova Scotia students can thank icy roads and sidewalks for their extra long weekend.

Some Nova Scotia students can thank icy roads and sidewalks for their extra long weekend.

The following schools have cancelled classes for Tuesday:

  • All Halifax Regional School Board Schools, including all professional development activities.
  • The Annapolis Valley Regional School Board has cancelled classes, however staff are to report to work at 11 a.m.
  • Classes are cancelled today for all students and staff of the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board.
  • Strait Regional School Board classes are cancelled today, however staff are to report to work at the regulartime.
  • Tri-CountyRegional School Board schools closed.
  • South Shore Regional School Board schools closed.
  • Schools in the Chignecto Central Regional schoolboard are closed today.
  • Classes cancelled at CSAP schools in Clare and Argyle.
  • Sandy Lake Academy Halifax is closed today.
  • Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts will open at noon for music classes. All dance classes are cancelled for the day.
  • Some NSCC campuses will remain closed today, including Akerley, Annapolis Valley, Burridge, the central office, Institute of Technology campus, Kingstec, Shelburneand the Waterfront campus.
