Prince Edward, Queen Elizabeth II's youngest son, visits Nova Scotia

Members of the public looking to get a glimpse of the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth II are invited to an arrival ceremony taking place on the grounds of Government House at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Prince plans to visit Government House, IWK Health Centre and the Halifax Central Library

Prince Edward, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth II, arrives in Nova Scotia todayfor a two-day visit.

Members of the public looking to get a glimpse of Prince Edward are invited to an arrival ceremony taking place on the grounds of Government House at 5:30 p.m. today.

Government House is located at 1451BarringtonSt. in Halifax.

On Monday the Earl of Wessex willtour the IWK Health Centre in Halifax and take partin a Gold Award Ceremony for The Duke of Edinburgh'sInternational Award at the Halifax Central Library.

The visit ends with an event for community leaders and volunteersat Government House.

Prince Edward will also be visiting P.E.I. and Newfoundland during his trip to Canada. This will mark his 37th trip to Canada.

Nova Scotia's last royal visitors were Prince Charles and Camilla, in May 2014.
